I believe, we, as designers need to be constantly aware and curious of the use of objects (digital, physical, spatial) for functions beyond their initial intentions.

We constantly see physical object examples of this (newspapers as shims for tables, coat hangers as slim jims, etc.) yet what are the digital examples? Or spatial examples?

Perhaps the Occupy movement is showing one method of exaptation of parks & squares as spatial objects of protest.

While drawing classes are excellent for designing “the look”, interaction designers should also consider classes in dance, drama or martial art to develop their sensitivity for things interactive.
